Fiddler on the Roof Jr. follows Tevye, a poor Jewish dairyman in Czarist Russia, as he and his tight-knit community struggle to uphold their traditions in the face of social change and growing anti-Semitism. The story centers on his three oldest daughters: Tzeitel, Hodel, and Chava — as they each pursue marriages that challenge traditional arranged matches, with Tevye attempting to reconcile his love for his daughters with his deeply held beliefs. Ultimately, this leads to profound personal conflicts and ultimately the forced expulsion of all Jewish villagers from their home in Anatevka.
